Anti-GFP Antibody
The protein encoded by the GFP gene emits green fluorescence when excited by light in the blue wavelength range. The GFP tag can be fused to the C-terminus or N-terminus of a protein. GFP antibody can detect not only GFP or its appropriate mutants such as EGFP but also the expression, localization, and purification of its fusion proteins. This system has been widely applied in various cell types,including bacteria, yeast, and mammalian cells.
